Here at My Monkey Mind UK, we offer professional counselling online, with a choice of experienced and qualified therapists, who can bring a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and life challenges with someone who listens without judgment.

 

It’s about being truly seen and heard—like a gentle hand helping guide you through emotional storms, offering support while helping you find your own strength.

 

In counselling, a trained professional helps you understand yourself better, begin to heal from past wounds, and work towards a more balanced, fulfilled life. It's a process of self-discovery, growth, and healing, all within a space that is warm, respectful, and non-judgmental.

 

It’s not just about fixing problems, but about supporting you as you find the path that feels right for you, every step of the way.

Starting therapy can be scary but I’m here to help. What I can offer you is a space to feel safe and supported to share your story. 

 

I believe in the power of listening. Really listening and exploring your experiences in a safe and nurturing space where you can take a breath and process your issues  – maybe for the first time in your life. 

 

I have spent hundreds of hours working with women through the cycles of life, from career challenges, grief, fertility, motherhood and beyond menopause  –  as women we carry a lot on our shoulders and it can feel life changing to share that weight with a therapist. 

 

My training is in Integrative Counselling which means I’m grounded in the Person Centred theory of counselling whilst also integrating CBT and Psychodynamic approaches, where it feels the right fit for you.

My name is Sam. I am a fully qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist registered with the BACP and NCPS, which means you have the assurance that I am working to an ethical code of conduct. 

I use an integrative approach with person-centred therapy being at the heart of my practice. This is a type of talk therapy, where together we build a positive therapeutic relationship, facilitating your self-discovery process, exploring your own issues, feelings, beliefs, behaviours and worldview.

I tailor my sessions to each individual client's needs and offer techniques from other counselling approaches, should I feel these would be of benefit to you.

I am also a neurodivergent-affirming counsellor, working with autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, OCD and more, helping clients to understand themselves and find their way in the world. I offer reasonable adjustments and work with individuals and/or families to seek the correct support in high school, college or the workplace.

I have greater experience in the following areas:

- Autism/ADHD 

- Anxiety and limiting thought patterns

- Chronic stress

- Depression and low mood

- Relationships

- Adverse childhood experiences

- identity confusion

 

 

I am a warm, compassionate individual and I provide a relaxed, none judgmental, fully accepting, space for you to be heard and validated in your experience. There is no such thing as ‘too much information’ in the room, every thought is welcomed, even if you think it is silly or stupid. I encourage you to bring every part of you to the sessions and together, we can explore, work through, understand and process any unpleasant thoughts, feelings and/or experiences and break free from old patterns of behaviour.  This can create more self-awareness, helping you to find the resources needed to move through life more comfortably.
